Machine Operator Job
Responsibilities:
Produce and/or assemble machined parts made of iron, steel, and aluminum at an acceptable standard rate.
Deburr machined parts using hand tools and pneumatic tools.
Perform in-process inspection of machined and assembled parts using basic measuring tools, go/no-go gages, thread gages, and special gages.
Accurately record production rates, scrap counts, and other documented data as required.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area using basic housekeeping supplies.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates for the position of Machine Operator should demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
Ability to function in an industrial environment safely by utilizing proper PPE.
Dependable attendance record and strong work ethic.
Willingness to learn and adhere to procedures.
Basic arithmetic for tracking production and scrap rates.
Ability to be flexible and run different jobs throughout the shop.
Safety Requirements:
Employee's must be willing and capable to wear Safety Glasses (Non-Tinted) and Safety Toe shoes or boots on the shop floor as well as Ear Plugs at machining centers.
The use of a forklift or crane may be required.
The wearing of gloves is as needed.
Ear buds and radios are not permitted on the shop floor.
